THE WHEEL

Day to day the wheel

turns

Night to night the fire

burns

Deep within the ocean

churns

From eyes to lips the heart

yearns

Those that are near welcome me

here

Daybreak or dusk by their songs

learn to sing…

As I lift my face to the sky,

protectors of the dharma, avatars of the natural world,

to you I bow down and offer this praise

By night I sleep, by day I wake,

by this rhythm may I remake

my fate: I breathe in and take you with me

I breathe out

and heal all wounds
