ENTERING THE MANDALA

Before lurching into projection,

into go here, do this, step back and approach the day

from the interiority of the body

 

This is the body lying down, the body sitting,

the body standing, the body

sensed inward through its nerve endings

 

resolute and present,

deep to its core.

Then, whatever you intend,

 

sense your resolution

through the body. This is not a question of mindfulness,

but of being there

 

For the body is always a body in a place

In this dialectic of presence

and engagement, of sensate openness,

 

stay with the ongoing,

the physical presence and disposition of a body

in a place, of a body

 

in circumstance

a body radiating outward

from within
